In March this year, the Commission of the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) recognised “eppl Rus” is the only supplier of Apple products in Russia — responsible for the coordination of prices on some iPhone models. In addition, the FAS has revealed signs of a violation regarding the provision of services on repair of screens and replacement of modules. In this regard, the company “eppl Rus” received a warning, according to which was supposed to fix the situation no later than may 1, 2017.
One of the prerequisites for this development was the complaint of the FAS in 2016 from Dmitry Petrov, the owner of the iPhone. In his claim, he indicated that “the Corporation is abusing its dominant position on the market iPhone repair”, because to repair the iPhone without approval from Apple is not possible, and the company does not provide parts for repair screens.
“Eppl Rus” executed a FAS warning: already in April this year it became known about the possibility to repair the damaged screen of your iPhone authorized service centers Apple. According to information posted on the Apple support website, at that time in Moscow opened its doors 19 service centers Apple Premium Service Provider, certified Apple.
“The company promptly fulfilled the warning of the FAS Russia. Currently, the consumer has the opportunity to get the service to replace the screen, which is two times cheaper than replacing the phone for a new one. We are satisfied with the work done by Apple”, — said Deputy head of FAS Russia Andrey Kashevarov following the meeting of the Commission of the FAS.
