Discovered a potentially habitable super-earths
Astronomers from Italy, Spain and Switzerland found a planet in the habitable zone of the parent star, which can be considered as super-earths.
Exoplanet located at a distance of 21 light-years from our planet and weighs almost 3 times more. It revolves around GJ 625 — M2 stars, which is 3 times smaller and lighter than our Sun.
Around its star super-earths rotates for 14.6 days. From the star, it is at the distance of 0.08 astronomical units. The average surface temperature of super-earths — 350 Kelvin (76,85 degrees Celsius).
Studies of the planet, scientists have been using the spectrograph HARPS-N, installed at the Observatory of Roque de Los Muchachos (Canary Islands, Spain).
This exoplanet is the smallest of the closest to the Sun. The plans of scientists to obtain information about the atmosphere of super-earths and do not exclude that on its surface could be liquid water.
