The main crooks of the world CS:GO will escape deserved punishment
Last summer, around the Valve broke a real chain of scandals associated with the so-called sites roulettes. A number of US citizens accused the company of aiding the development of an illegal gambling business. The Valve in turn, said that nothing to such resources have not, and sent to all sites involved in illegal gambling, the letter with the requirement immediately to stop the activity. The dissenters promised to punish.
One of the biggest scandals of the period and a catalyst of the process was the incident with the help of Trevor Martin and Tom Cassel, better known by nicknames TmarTn and Syndicate. The young people produced a few spots with big wins on the portal CSGOlotto, and few weeks popular channel h3h3Productions published videorussian, proving that the guys are the owners of the gambling resource. Moreover, as it turned out, for advertising your website they paid for third-party help from $2,500 to $55 000.
Martin and Cassel was ordered to pay a fine for “dishonest” promotion of the portal, which they secretly owned. But the criminals managed to escape punishment by contacting the Federal trade Commission, an independent government Agency that protects the rights of consumers. The Commission adopted the decision to release the help from administrative punishment, but ordered them not to continue to hide the information about the possession of such resources. For each recorded case of violation thereof, the bloggers will have to pay a fine of $40 000.
Commission Chairman Maureen Olausen warned other entrepreneurs not to follow the example TmarTn and Syndicate, saying that consumers should always know when well-known personalities that shape public opinion, promote own product and get paid for it. Representatives of the Federal trade Commission also noted that the situation with Martin and Cassel will set a precedent for consideration of similar cases in the future.
