At the end of last year, the company announced a partnership with E Ink Holdings, a first result of the joint work of steel panel e-ink with a density of 400 or 600 pixels per inch.

Today, even the most advanced models of electronic books the pixel density is 300 ppi. Displays with maximum resolution set at the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, Voyage and Oasis, as well as in the Kobo Aura One. According to representatives of JDI, nizkotemperaturnaya production technology of LTPS-substrates will allow you to create screens with clarity no worse than today’s smartphones.
Panel E Ink high resolution can be used in readers or mobile devices (for example, as a second display on the rear panel). JDI also mentions future devices “Internet of things” — in some situations, the choice of electronic paper with excellent visibility in the sun and low power consumption is preferred.
