LG intends to again start producing their own processors?
Some may remember that in 2014, LG has followed the example of its competitors and released a proprietary mobile processor called NUCLUN. But, unfortunately, it was forgotten as quickly as he appeared.
Since then, the network from time to time there were rumors that Koreans still go back to producing its own chips. All the time it was just rumors and speculation, which could not materialize. But, apparently, very soon, everything will change. The company filed with the Intellectual property Office several trademarks for registration.
Name two applications: “LG KRONOMAX Processor” and “Processor LG EPIK”. From the brief descriptions it becomes clear that the names fully comply with future product. But it is worth noting that it can be not only in processors for smartphones and tablets since last year, Intel officially confirmed that their factories will produce ARM chips at the base of the LG development, which is designed for IoT (Internet of Things, Internet of things).
