Meizu announced the release of the 4th place by sales in Ukraine and has launched an official fan club (report)
Meizu in Ukraine opened their official fan club and on this occasion held the first event in Kiev in cooperation with the network “Citrus”. Was attended by representatives of Meizu, in particular the head of the international Department of the company chanzu the Dean and the Executive Director of the company “Citrus” Andrey Mineev. Told about results of work, some of the plans for the development of the fan club in the future and called some interesting facts and figures. Ukrainian fan club, Meizu has become the fourth country after China, India, Myanmar and Russia. Of course, the first was in China and events on this occasion there are held regularly and collect really large number of people.
In Ukraine it is planned to conduct offline meetings once a quarter. While it will be the largest city, where the network of shops “Citrus” in the middle of the summer — Odessa, then — Dnepr and Kharkov. All information and online communication with the community Meizu company plans to conduct on the page in Facebook. Meizu expects that over the past year in fan club, will include around 100,000 users. Very ambitious but we will see.
And now some articulated figures. Smartphones Meizu officially sold in Ukraine in 2013, in 2015 the market share was 1.9%. At the same time it is 8.2%, which allowed the company to take the fourth place in Ukraine in sales of smartphones, behind Samsung, Apple and Huawei. Specifically, in Odessa, this figure is much higher (for obvious reasons: “Citrus” campaign from Odessa): more than 14%. The main age range of customers — from 20 to 34 years, 70% of the male population. It is not surprising: smartphone purchased not necessarily themselves, but also for a gift, for example, girlfriend, mother. 20% of customers make a second purchase. Again, not necessarily for yourself.
With regard to the overall development plans of the company, then some dramatic changes in the near future are planned: the main focus is on smartphones, headphones, headsets and accessories. Soon expect new product categories is not necessary. Of the interesting for users Meizu information was announced tentative dates for the release of a stable version of Flyme 6, which was announced late last year. Promise to start sending in July, starting with a series of M2 and M3. For the M5 updates will come later, as these models are relatively new.
Main part of the event for fans of Meizu was held in the restaurant Arena House were booths with the latest smartphone Meizu, which you can fiddle with. As you can see in the photo, the decor was homely and visitors were able to study the smartphones are not releasing a glass of beer (or anything else) out of hand:
As promised yesterday, before the visitors made the Dean Cantu, followed by various contests with prizes and other entertainment: video contest, competition, Asphalt 8 and so on.
In the future the format of the offline meetings is not necessarily so, there are no standards for fan clubs Meizu does not exist and the company is focused on local features and characteristics. On very approximate data, the event was attended by over 200 people, including ordinary users of devices Meizu, and journalists/bloggers.
