NASA tests new nuclear reactors for Mars missions
Reportedly, the new development of NASA will help to get enough heat and electricity for long-distance expeditions on Mars.
Power plant called Kilopower will be able to provide colonists to Mars as heat and electricity. According to calculations NASA, each of these reactors, can generate 2 to 10 kilowatts of electricity. Thus, the colonists on Mars will be provided with electricity for decades to come.
The national laboratory of America gives to these reactors, 10 years guarantee. Reportedly, the test installation will begin this month and will last until 2018.
