NASA will not send people into space when you first start its new rocket

Space again is becoming more and more popular. NASA and SpaceX have plans on sending not only spacecraft, but also people on other celestial bodies of the Solar system. The company Elon musk wants to use the moon as an intermediate stop on the way to Mars, and NASA said the inclusion of the human crew in the first launch of the new SLS rocket with the spacecraft Orion. But unfortunately, the NASA study concluded that the launch of manned spacecraft in the first launch of SLS is impossible, because the cost of providing crew safety is too high.

The company Elon musk wants to use the moon as an intermediate stop on the way to Mars, and NASA said the inclusion of the human crew in the first launch of the new SLS rocket with the spacecraft Orion. But, unfortunately, an internal assessment of NASA came to the conclusion that the launch of manned spacecraft in the first launch of SLS is impossible, because the cost of providing crew safety is too high.
What happened?
NASA administrator Robert Lightfoot (Robert Lightfoot) has proposed an evaluation back in February, when he announced the intention of the Agency to add the crew to the launch of the SLS in 2018. In a letter addressed to NASA employees, he said: “I know the problems associated with this proposal – evaluation of technical feasibility, the need for additional resources and increased the amount of work lead to another date.” In April, the date of the first SLS launch was postponed to 2019 due to technical problems.
While it is unknown whether the study to other NASA plans. But we can definitely say that the inclusion of the human crew in a potentially bad first start can lead to tragedy, which greatly slows down the pace of development of manned space flight.
