Startup of the week from Hello: HomeBiogas 2.0 — installation for biogas production at home
Last week we told you about the device Qoobo, which is an interactive robotic pillow with a tail that responds to the touch. Today you will learn about biogas plant HomeBiogas 2.0, which turns waste food, manure and other organic material into the “clean” gas.
About the project
HomeBiogas Israeli company specializing in developing solutions for the production of clean energy, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a biogas plant HomeBiogas 2.0, which is able to turn waste food, manure and other organic material into the “clean” gas.
It should be noted that the installation HomeBiogas 2.0 recycles waste two times faster the first version, which was introduced two years ago and was a more cumbersome device.
As the authors of the project, one such homemade biogas plant capable each day to produce gas for cooking stoves (which comes with installation) for three hours, which would be sufficient for daily cooking for an average family.
“Composting is definitely a good direction, but HomeBiogas you can get more from their waste. The system will take care of all the remains from your table and provide the production of gas and liquid fertilizer on a daily basis, says ASIC Efrati, CEO and co-founder HomeBiogas. Liquid fertilizer can be safely used to power the vegetable garden, flower beds, fruit trees or a hydroponic mini-farm. This product can also serve as a water-nitrogen additive for a compost pile and will speed up the composting process”.
Installation HomeBioGas 2.0 comes fully assembled in a carton of relatively small size and has a waterproof outer layer.
To start, it is necessary to fill the working capacity of water, invest in a gas container sand bags and add food waste.
The cost of installing HomeBiogas 2.0 to the end of the campaign is $460.
The required amount for the project HomeBiogas 2.0 is $75,000. At the time of writing, the startup has already collected $314,066, whereas before the end of the campaign still has 33 days.
