Orpheus – exoskeleton for training in zero gravity (3 photos)
Professor, California state University of Ergul Mehmet presented an unusual development — Orpheus exoskeleton for resistive exercise designed for employees of ISS. With it, astronauts will be able to maintain normal muscular activity in the conditions of constant weightlessness.
Orpheus is possible to wear both for fitness and in the performance of their daily duties — it will give the body the usual load, which hides the gravity. Also, the team offers interesting smart feature: each suit can adapt to the needs of a specific user. He will receive recommendations. When the astronauts will be able to use a useful new thing, not yet known: delivery to the ISS is not announced.
