During the government summit, the World Summit Government Department on management of roads and transport of Dubai (RTA) introduced the “Autonomous flying vehicle”, created by a Chinese company Ehang. For the first time ecological and innovative vehicle was featured a year ago at CES 2016. When a new form of transport will be commissioned by the Arab city of the Emirate is not reported, but it is quite possible that a progressive Dubai will become the first metropolis where passenger unmanned drones will deliver passengers to destinations, bypassing the motor junctions, traffic lights and traffic jams.
According to the idea, “Autonomous aircraft” (AAV) can carry passengers on short distances. Taxi-drone runs completely on electricity, and the flight will not require a pilot. Any customer using the touch screen will be able to choose the destination, and the Autonomous system will deliver it thanks to the built-in navigation. General command center will monitor and control the movement of all machines.
To protect from hacking all messages are encrypted, and each AAV has its own access key. In the event of a system failure or fault/disable any components avtolet to land immediately at the nearest possible site in order to avoid an accident.
The leadership of the Department of roads and transport of Dubai believes that the new taxi will be in demand (approximate cost of the trip is not reported), because the customers do not need the right to control the aerial vehicle, and the time spent on the road in the city will decrease significantly.
