Underwater drone for divers and not only (12 photos + video)

Great interest was aroused compact underwater drone BIKI, reminiscent of any fish from the movie “finding Nemo”. The movement of this robot is implemented with the help of the caudal fin. Compared to rotary counterparts he moves more slowly, so the fish are not scared.

BIKI capable of operating at depths up to 60 meters moving at a speed of 0.5 m/sec. It is managed by the remote from a distance up to 10 m or app for smartphones on OS Android and iOS.

The drone can float in the specified direction to avoid obstacles, to recognize them he has special sensors. Even if the connection gets interrupted, BIKI will return to the starting point with the integrated GPS module. To compensate for the fluctuations in the housing provides mechanical stabilization system.
BIKI also equipped with flashlights, which makes it possible to shoot under the water, and a camera with a very decent viewing angle (150°) to record 4K video. The memory of 32 GB, the battery provides the power for 1.5-2 hours.

BIKI is presented in white and black, but it is planned to expand the color palette. Wishing this cute gadget will cost $1000, but when ordering on Kickstarter its cost is much lower — $600, and to get it will be in September this year. The interest in this promising startup is so great that instead of the $20,000 needed to run the project, managed to collect four times more.
