YouTube TV’s $35/month cord-cutting service coming to Apple TV ‘very soon’

The company made the statement to CNET.

YouTube TV, not to be confused with the free version of YouTube filled with music videos, late-night TV clips and cute puppies, costs $35 per month and appeals to cable TV cord cutters. Its package of 40-plus live TV channels includes locals such as ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC as well as cable stalwarts like AMC, ESPN, the Disney Channel, Fox News and Bravo […] YouTube TV is now available in more than 80 markets nationwide, covering 80 percent of the U.S. population.

Subscribers can currently AirPlay from the iPhone or iPad app to an Apple TV, but a native app will make for a much more convenient experience.

YouTube TV announced late last year that an Apple TV app was on the way, along with clients for LG, Samsung, and Sony smart televisions. The $60 4K Roku Streaming Stick+ is used by some as an inexpensive alternative to the 4K Apple TV.

It was recently reported that YouTube TV currently has around 300,000 paying customers.
