Galaxy S9, S9 Plus Schematics Leak, Confirm Previous Leaks

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus schematics have just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see two images, and in those images, you’ll be able to see schematics of the back side of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. These two images more or less confirm most of the leaks that we’ve seen thus far, at least as far as camera counts and fingerprint scanner placements are concerned, read on.

Based on the provided images, the Galaxy S9 will sport a single camera on its back, while the Galaxy S9 Plus will ship with a dual camera setup. A fingerprint scanner will be placed right below those cameras, which means that it will be in a more convenient place than it was on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Other than the camera count, these two phones will sport an identical design, it seems. The back side of these two phones will be curved, and chances are we’re looking at a metal + glass construction of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, similar to the one their predecessors sported. If you take a look at the bottom of these two phones, you will notice that a 3.5mm headphone jack is making a comeback, and next to it Samsung will include a Type-C USB port and a loudspeaker.

Most of you already know that Samsung scheduled its Unpacked event for February 25, and that event will be hosted in Barcelona, as part of this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). It’s pretty obvious, based on the company’s announcement, and everything else, that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be announced during that event. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will, probably, ship in two processor variants, just like their predecessors. These two phones will be available with the Snapdragon 845 on the inside as far as the US is concerned (and some other regions), while Samsung’s Exynos 9810 processor will fuel the two phones in Europe and other markets. Wireless charging will be a part of the package here, though we still do not know what will the RAM situation be. It is possible that Samsung may opt to include 4GB of RAM inside of the Galaxy S9, and 6GB of RAM inside the Galaxy S9 Plus, but those are only rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see what will happen.
