Here’s your very first look at OnePlus 12 specifications
The OnePlus 12 is not expected to arrive until the end of this year, and its specifications have just surfaced for the first time. We’ve seen bits and pieces being hinted at, but a tipster just shared quite a bit of info now.
This information comes from Yogesh Brar, and considering his track record, do take this info with a grain of salt. Having said that, the tipster does say this is the “engineering config” of the phone.
The very first OnePlus 12 specifications leak is here, and things look promising
So, what’s mentioned here? Well, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) is definitely worth mentioning first. That is definitely the SoC we’re expecting, as OnePlus’ flagships always use the latest Qualcomm flagship SoC. Considering the launch timeframe of the device, this makes sense.
The tipster also mentioned a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Well, he did write ‘QHD’, but it will be a ‘QHD+’ panel considering aspect ratios these days, that’s for sure.
A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned, as was 100W wired charging. The tipster did not mention wireless charging, which doesn’t mean the phone won’t offer it. Speaking of charging, a charging cable will be included, unless something drastically changes.
You’ll find three cameras on the back of the phone, including a periscope camera
There are three cameras on the back of this phone. A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The third camera is actually a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto unit. OnePlus will finally get some sort of a periscope camera, it would seem. Let’s hope we’ll be able to get 5x optical zoom this time around.
OnePlus will likely announce this handset in December, but only in China. Its global launch will probably be scheduled for Q1 2024. We’ll likely get only one model this time around too, as was the case with the OnePlus 11.
