Huawei P30 & P30 Pro’s Bezels May Be Thinner Than You Think: Leak

Following a rather successful launch of the Mate 20 series, Huawei is looking towards the P30 series arrival, and as we’re waiting for that to occur, some new info regarding that series of devices has surfaced. To be more accurate, three different screen protectors have leaked, and they belong to the Huawei P30, P30 Pro, and P30 Lite smartphones, allegedly. That leak also shares some info regarding the specs of the three devices, not much, but enough to get us going. In addition to that, the alleged Huawei P30 Lite case has surfaced as well. That being said, let’s take a look at the screen protectors first, shall we.

If you take a look at the first image in the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see the aforementioned screen protectors. These screen protectors actually reveal that all three P30 devices will feature a teardrop notch at the top of the display, which is essentially a really tiny notch, and many of you will probably agree that this is a lot better than what you’re getting on the Mate 20, Apple’s new iPhones, or some other phones out there. These screen protectors also reveal that the P30 series of devices will have really thin bezels, even the bottom bezel will be extremely thin, and based on this leak, the P30 will have the thinnest bottom bezel out of the bunch, then goes the P30 Pro, and is followed by the P30 Lite. Now, regarding the aforementioned specs that surfaced along with these screen protectors… if these are to be believed, the Huawei P30 Lite will sport a 6-inch fullHD display, same as the P30, while the P30 Pro will include a 6.4-inch QHD+ curved display. The source also claims that the P30 Lite will ship with a rear-facing, capacitive fingerprint scanner, while the P30 and P30 Pro will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, just like the Mate 20 Pro.

If you take a look at the last four images in the gallery, you will be able to see the aforementioned P30 Lite case. This is your regular silicone case, it seems, and it seems to be a third-party offering. In any case, this case suggests that the P30 Lite will include two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, which will be located in the top-right corner of the phone’s back side. A cutout for the rear-facing fingerprint scanner is also visible here, while the case suggests that all the phone’s physical buttons will sit on the right, including its volume up, volume down, and power / lock keys. A render of the device is also shown in three of these images, so you can take a look at the expected design of the device as well.

Huawei P30 Series Design Expectations

Huawei is expected to release three P30 devices, all three of which were mentioned in the first three paragraphs. Well, all three of those phones will be made out of metal and glass, most probably, that was the case with both P20 and Mate 20 series, so chances are the same will happen with the P30 series of devices as well. The Huawei P30 Lite’s rear-facing camera setup has been shown in the provided renders, though it remains to be seen what will it look like on the P30 and P30 Pro, as both of those phones are expected to offer more cameras than the P30 Lite, at least if rumors are to be believed. The Huawei P30 is expected to pack in three cameras, while the P30 Pro will include four, though take that info with a grain of salt, as we’ve heard various different information regarding all that. In any case, those cameras, on both the P30 and P30 Pro, will be covered by Leica’s lenses, which almost certainly will not be the case with the P30 Lite, for pricing purposes, the P30 Lite will be a mid-range smartphone. Other than a different number of cameras, size difference, and the thickness of the “chin” the P30 and P30 Pro will be identical in terms of the design. Same goes for the P30 Lite as well, though that phone will also include a fingerprint scanner on the back, which will not be the case with the other two P30 smartphones. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are rumored to be fueled by the Kirin 985, if Huawei decides to launch that chip, if not, the Kirin 980 will be included, though chances are that the Kirin 985 will become official in the near future. All three of these phones are expected to become official in March, but we’ll see what will happen, as Huawei did not share any official info just yet.
