Photographs of the LG Aristo 2’s retail packaging has leaked. These images show specifications of the device and they also include images of the smartphone itself. This handset will serve as a successor to the LG Aristo, which was launched in January of 2017. It is expected that the LG Aristo 2 will arrive to T-Mobile and MetroPCS within the next few weeks, although there is currently no information available regarding this smartphone’s pricing.
According to the leak, the LG Aristo 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 425 processor from Qualcomm, which comes with the Adreno 308 GPU. The device is rumored to sport a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The leak claims that the smartphone will contain 2GB of RAM, which is an improvement over the predecessor’s 1.5GB. It also will include 16GB of internal flash storage, according to the report, although only 9GB of the internal memory is usable by the consumer. Users can unlock the smartphone using either the handset’s face recognition technology or the KnockON feature of LG, according to the rumor. The leak also claims that the device can connect to 2G GSM, 3G UMTS, and 4G LTE networks, and it contains a 2,410 removable battery to keep the handset’s lights on. The handset will weigh 139 grams and it is reported to have a height of 145mm, a width of 72mm, and a thickness of 8mm.
The rear camera of the smartphone is reported to be equipped with one 13-megapixel sensor that supports Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), while the front-facing camera will come with a 5-megapixel sensor. The cameras are equipped with a number of software features, including the auto shot functionality that captures an image once it detects a smile. In addition, the quick image view permits people to view the images directly after they were captured. A quick video editor is also pre-installed on the device, which enables users to add effects and even soundtracks to a video file. The handset will ship with Android 7.1.2 Nougat pre-installed, according to the leak, which means that users of the device can take advantage of features like split-screen multitasking.
