New Nokia 9.2 PureView Concept Design Looks Great

A new Nokia 9.2 PureView concept design has surfaced online, and it looks great. This design comes from Ben Geskin, a well-known concept designer, amongst other things.

Please do note that this is not a leak of the device, or anything of the sort. This design came from Mr. Geskin’s imagination, even though it is inspired by the Nokia 9 PureView.

It seems like Nokia will skip the 9.1 PureView brand, for some reason. Such rumors have been popping up online for quite some time now. The Nokia 9 PureView was announced back in February last year, but its successor still did not arrive.

The Nokia 9 PureView was supposed to launch much sooner, but it got postponed several times. Well, the same thing happened with its successor, it seems. The latest information surfaced in January, and it claimed that the phone will arrive in Autumn 2020.

This Nokia 9.2 PureView concept comes with extremely thin bezels, and an under-display camera

Until then, we’ll probably see quite a few leaks, and even concepts like the one shown here. The Nokia 9.2 PureView concept design that you can see in the image provided above, shows a phone with really thin bezels.

The bottom bezel is the thickest, and it’s almost there. The device does not include a display camera hole, or notch, which makes us wonder where is its front-facing camera.

Well, the Nokia 9.2 PureView is rumored to include an under-display camera. We don’t know how realistic it is to expect that, but it surely inspired this designer. Xiaomi’s exec recently said that under-display cameras are not yet ready for primetime. On the flip side, Vivo’s latest concept smartphone does include such a camera. We’ll see what will happen.

All the physical keys are located on the right-hand side of this concept smartphone. The back side of the device reminds us of the Nokia 9 PureView. The phone’s back side is curved quite a bit, and it sure seems slippery.

There is a round camera module included on the back, with four camera sensors

There is a round camera module included on the back, and it hosts four cameras. That camera module protrudes on the back, and below it, you’ll notice an LED flash. Nokia’s logo is also placed on the back.

The designer did not release any spec info with this phone, which is not that odd considering this is just a concept phone. The real Nokia 9.2 PureView will probably be quite powerful, as that will become the company’s new flagship.

The device is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core processor. That is the most powerful processor Qualcomm has to offer at the moment.

The phone will also include plenty of RAM, and ZEISS optics. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, while we’re also expecting that software to be quite clean, with no added bloatware.
