Nova Launcher Prime is now on sale for $0.99 – down from $4.99 – for those Android users who still haven’t had a chance to try it out for themselves. For those who don’t already know, Nova Launcher is one of the most popular launcher replacement and theming tools available for Android – if not arguably the very best. It’s also one of the oldest launcher replacements available for the platform and, as a result, one of the most comprehensive and well-polished. There is, of course, a free version of Nova Launcher available as well. However, Nova Launcher Prime really opens up the possibilities for those who want a unique look and feel, providing access to everything from custom drawer folders and tabs to advanced widget options and enhanced gesture controls. It also allows for hidden apps, which cleans up the interface substantially for those users whose device has pre-installed applications that can’t be uninstalled but aren’t used. It won’t remove those applications, unfortunately, but it will remove them from the interface – helping both to declutter and to prevent accidental clicks on unused or unwanted stock apps.
In addition to the paid tools, Nova Launcher features icon theming, custom desktop and drawer grids with sub-grid snapping, customizable drawer themes, custom font and text settings, and a wealth of other settings that can be tweaked to get things just right for a custom look and feel. The app also sees frequent updates, which often bring with them some of the latest features to have hit Android. More recently that has included features related to adaptive icons, as well as app drawer and desktop dock interactions and aesthetics based on Android Oreo.
As to the sale itself, that isn’t likely to last for very long since it is technically a holiday promotion but, at 80-percent off, this is a really good deal whether a user is trying Nova out for the first time or just looking to get more out of the free version they already have installed. So anybody who wants to try out the more advanced features on offer will probably want to head over to the Google Play Store via the button below.
