OnePlus 6T Offers Dual Cameras, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor & Incredible Battery Life For $549

The OnePlus 6T was announced back in October, and it actually became a pretty big upgrade compared to the OnePlus 6 which was its predecessor. The OnePlus 6T comes in at $549 and offers a whole lot of value for that price. It sports a 6.41-inch Full HD+ resolution display, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage inside. There is no micro SD card slot available, so you’re stuck with whatever storage option you choose, but it is still a ton of space for most people. There is also a 3700mAh capacity battery included here, which is going to keep it going all day long.

Those specs haven’t changed much from the OnePlus 6 announced earlier in the year, besides the battery capacity. The changes are elsewhere in the phone. For one, the notch is now a water droplet notch, so it’s barely noticeable. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor, so there’s no sensor on the backside anymore. And it also has an improved dual-camera setup. OnePlus 6T sports a dual-camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel and a 20-megapixel sensor. It has Optical Image Stabilization or OIS, so you can get some great video while holding the phone, instead of it being blurry. And it also has NightScape, which is going to offer some pretty good looking images at night. Now it’s not quite on the level of Google’s Night Sight on the Pixel, but it is pretty good. Of course, having that second camera does really help OnePlus here.

OnePlus has always been a pretty popular smartphone company for a couple of reasons. Offering high-end specs at a pretty low price (even though the price has gone up on each generation of its smartphone). And it also offers a near stock Android experience, with a few extra useful features thrown in on top, in Oxygen OS. That is also what helps to make its smartphones fly when going through the operating system. Instead of having a heavy skin, the lightweight skin of Oxygen OS allows the OnePlus 6T to absolutely fly, especially on the Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM here. If you weren’t sold on the OnePlus 6T already, the new Thunder Purple color will do the trick. It’s a new gradient color that OnePlus has released in the US, and it looks incredible. It goes from black to purple, and looks really nice. It is definitely different from the black, white or silver smartphones that most companies offer these days. Though it is a limited edition, so you’re going to want to grab it before it is gone.

The OnePlus 6T starts at $549 for the 6GB/128GB option. Which is a perfectly fine option for many people, and it’s going to make a great smartphone at that price. But if you want a bit more storage, you can upgrade to the 8GB/128GB for $30 more at $579. Now if you want to go all out, the 8GB/256GB model will cost you $619. And all things considered, that is still a really great price. Considering it has the same specs as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but for nearly half the price, it’s hard to skip out on the OnePlus 6T.
