Samsung Pushes September Patch To Galaxy Note 9, Note10 & Others



Samsung is on top of its game when it comes to rolling out new updates for the devices. And a new report suggests that the OEM has made the September 2020 security update live for Galaxy Note 9, Note 10/10+, and other devices.

Notably, the other devices include some of the mid-rangers as well. Note that the Exynos Galaxy Note 9 variant is already updated with the September 2020 patchset.

So, it is the Snapdragon variant that is getting the taste of the new patch. The update for the Galaxy Note 9 arrives with version number N960FXXS6ETHB and reportedly only bumps the patch level to September 2020.

The update is currently spotted for the Galaxy Note 9 users in Germany. But the update is expected to be available to other regions soon. Notably, the Galaxy S20 series has recently picked up the One UI 2.5 update.

Moreover, Galaxy A21s, Galaxy A51, and Galaxy A70 are also getting updated with September 2020 security patchset. The update for the Galaxy A21s arrives with version number A217FXXU3ATH4.

While the update for the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A70 comes with version number A515FXXS3BTH4, and A705FNXXU5BTH4, respectively. The updates are based on One UI 2.1.

The updates are currently live in a limited market and are expected to go for a wider rollout soon. Besides, the updates are purely incremental in nature and bring some bug fixes along with them.

Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are receiving the OneUI 2.5 update with the September patch

Luckily for those who own the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, the users are now receiving the One UI 2.5 update. On top of that, the update also brings the latest September 2020 security patchset.

Importantly, it is the Exynos variants of the Galaxy Note 10/10+ that are receiving the new update. The updates for the Galaxy Note 10 (SM-N970F) and Galaxy Note 10+ (SM-N975F) is seeding with version number N97xFXXU6DTH7.

Notably, the update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ is spotted in Germany. While the Galaxy Note 10 5G is also picking up the update which is currently live in Switzerland.

It is expected to make its way to other regions soon. As far as new features of the One UI 2.5 is concerned, it brings Wireless DeX support, pro video mode, Samsung keyboard improvements, etc.

The updates are rolling out via OTA in batches. So, if you have not yet received the update on any of the mentioned phones, then it is probably on its way.

For manually checking the update, you can head over to Settings>>About device>>Software update>>Update now. If there is a new update notification, then tap on the Download now button to install the update.
