T-Mobile CEO Joins In On The Not-So-Subtle Pixel 4 Leaks

It was already pretty much confirmed that T-Mobile would be selling the Pixel 4, after Google announces it tomorrow. But that didn’t stop T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere from confirming it.

There were two Pixel 4 boxes that showed up around his slow cooker, that was used in his patented Slow Cooker Sunday show on Facebook Live. It showed two Clearly White Pixel 4 smartphones. And the picture was posted on his Facebook and Instagram.

Legere made no point in trying to cover it up or hide it either.

This isn’t the first person that has openly leaked the Pixel 4

Over the weekend, at a Variety event, Awkwafina used the Pixel 4 to take a photo of her and Ali Wong. It was pretty clear that it was the Pixel 4, and Awkwafina made no attempt to cover it up afterwards. It was posted on her and Wong’s Instagram stories too. Awkwafina was using the Oh So Orange Pixel 4 as well, so it really stood out.

Now, Awkwafina is a Google Pixel influencer, and appears in many of Google’s commercials. So it’s no surprise that she has a Pixel 4 already.

This weekend we also saw Linus from Linus Tech Tips on his live show, showing off the Pixel 4. Now this did seem to be a mistake, as he kept it pretty low on the screen, and only someone with a keen eye would have noticed it. But either way, it’s clear that Google doesn’t even care that it leaks anymore.

Google seemed to have started out this summer with a new strategy for the Pixel 4, and that was to embrace the leaks.

We knew the leaks were going to happen, so Google might as well embrace it. Google showed the back of the phone many months ago on Twitter. And then after it announced the event last month, it put up a big ad in Times Square for the event, showing the Oh So Orange Pixel 4.

T-Mobile is getting the Pixel 4, big surprise

Well, not really. T-Mobile started selling Pixels when the Pixel 3a launched in May. With the Pixel 3 lineup also coming to the Magenta stores.

So it was expected that T-Mobile would be selling the Pixel 4. Though it is always nice to see some confirmation on that.

The Google Pixel 4 is expected to be announced tomorrow and be available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

It’ll also be announced alongside a number of other Google products at the company’s annual “Made By Google” event in New York City.
