The Larger The Galaxy S20 Model, The More Curved Is Its Display

All three Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones will feature curved displays. That much we already knew, what we did not know, is that those curves will not be the same.

Each of these smartphones will offer different display curvature, according to the newest info. This information comes from Max Weinbach, who already shared a ton of Galaxy S20 info.

He says that the Galaxy S20’s display will be ‘basically flat’. That means that it will be almost flat, it seems. The Galaxy S20+, on the other hand, will be “slightly more curved” than the Galaxy S20. Mr. Weinbach also notes that it will still feel flat, though.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra’s display will be more curved than the ones on its siblings

The Galaxy S20 Ultra will have the most curve on its display, but still less than the Galaxy S10. It seems like Samsung is toning down its curved display, and is trying to find the right balance between flat and curved.

The company is probably trying to deal with that nasty reflection that users of curved displays have been complaining about. Smartphones with curved displays are also more difficult to use with one hand.

Smartphones these days are large and slippery, as they’re mostly made out of metal and glass. Now, if you add a curved display into the equation, the phone becomes that more difficult to use in one hand.

We thought that all three Galaxy S20 handsets will have the same display curvature, but that won’t be the case. Those of you who hate curved displays may be okay with display curvature on the Galaxy S20 series, though. Those curves will be considerably less pronounced than on the Galaxy S10 and S10+, it seems.

All three phones are coming on February 11

The Galaxy S20 series will become official on February 11. Samsung already scheduled a press conference in San Francisco on that date. The company will probably also announce the Galaxy Z Flip along with the Galaxy S20 series.

All three Galaxy S20 smartphones will be made out of metal and glass. The Galaxy S20 and S20+ will utilize build out of aluminum and glass, while the S20 Ultra will be made out of stainless steel and glass.

The Snapdragon 865 will fuel these smartphones in most markets. The Exynos 990 will be included in India, though, it seems. The Galaxy S20 and S20+ will arrive in both 4G and 5G variants, while the S20 Ultra will be available in a 5G iteration only.

All three phones will ship with 12GB of RAM as a standard. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will also have a 16GB RAM variant, though. Android 10 will come pre-installed on all phones, with Samsung’s custom UI.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be the only phone in the series to offer a periscope camera on the back. It will also be the only one to include a 40-megapixel front-facing camera.
