Xiaomi Mi 10 May Launch On February 13, Promo Poster Leaks

According to a new piece of information, the Xiaomi Mi 10 may become official on February 13. This information comes from two sources, actually. If it’s true, it means that previous rumors were not accurate.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 may launch on February 13, not February 11

Xiaomi was rumored to announce the Mi 10 flagship series on February 11, not February 13. It was supposed to arrive on the same day as the Galaxy S20 series, but sooner in the day.

Well, if the information that just got shared is accurate, Xiaomi will announce its new phones two days after that. A well-known tipster, Xiaomishka, tweeted out February 13 as the launch date, and Micron also hinted at that date.

For those of you who do not know, Micron is one of Xiaomi’s RAM suppliers. The Xiaomi Mi 10 will be the first phone to use the company’s LPDDR5 RAM. Micron won’t be Xiaomi’s only supplier, though, as Samsung will also join the party.

Micron says that the Mi 10 will be the first phone to use its LPDDR5 module

In any case, Micron kind of confirmed February 13 as well, in its Weibo post. The company did that in the same post where it confirmed that the Mi 10 will be the first phone to use its LPDDR5 RAM.

Micron did not flat-out say that the phone will launch on that date, but it did mention some sort of a coupon that will help you snap-up the phone on February 13. That could indicate the phone’s launch date.

That’s not all the info, though. Xiaomishka also shared what seems to be an official poster of the Xiaomi Mi 10. This poster confirms that the device will support 5G connectivity, while it also reveals its design.

This design is not new, as the Mi 10 series did leak in the past, this is only a confirmation of sorts. Based on this, the phone will be made out of metal and glass, as expected.

As you can see, its display will be curved, and a display camera hole will sit in the top-left corner. Do note that this poster shows both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, though.

The ‘Pro’ model will include one extra camera on the back

The two phones will probably look the same from the front, but not from the back. The Xiaomi Mi 10 will include four cameras on the back, while the Mi 10 Pro will up that to five cameras.

The poster does mention the Snapdragon 865, 50x zoom, and a 108-megapixel camera. So, at least one of the two phones will include a 108-megapixel camera on the back.

Both devices will ship with Android 10 out of the box, along with Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 skin. The two devices will sport OLED displays, and they will probably be more affordable than other major flagships.
