Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ Specs Leak Again; 8GB Of RAM, SD845 In Tow
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ spec sheet has just leaked, thanks to a screenshot which surfaced online. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, confirmed quite recently that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be announced on March 27, and that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC. In addition to that, Lei Jun shared the phone’s AnTuTu score, and it seems like the device was able to score around 271,000 points on AnTuTu, which clearly points to the Snapdragon 845 as well.
Now, according to the leaked image, the phone will sport a 6.01-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, while it will ship with 8GB of RAM on the inside. Do keep in mind that a 6GB RAM variant is also a possibility. In addition to that, the device will pack in 256GB of internal storage (at least one of its variants will), while a 4,400mAh non-removable battery will be a part of the package. A 16-megapixel snapper has also been mentioned in the provided image, though we’re not sure whether that points to the phone’s front or rear-facing camera. This particular model runs MIUI 22.214.171.124, and it is still unclear whether it will be based on Android Nougat or Android Oreo. Now, this info is somewhat different than the info shared by the phone’s leaked firmware. The Mi MIX 2S’ firmware surfaced earlier this month, and according to it, the device will sport a 3,400mAh non-removable battery, not a 4,400mAh unit. Other than that, all the info seems to be the same.
If the leaked firmware is to be believed (and some rumors before it), the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is called ‘polaris’ internally, that is its codename, it seems. Now, the phone did leak a couple of times thus far, and if the latest leak is to be believed, it will sport an almost bezel-less design. The device’s bezels will be extremely thin, though it will sport a small notch in the upper-right corner thanks to the front-facing camera. The phone is expected to be made out of metal and glass, while a ceramic unibody variant is also a possibility. It seems like the Mi MIX 2S will be the company’s new flagship, and it may postpone the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 7, another flagship phone by Xiaomi. If yesterday’s rumor is to be believed, the Mi 7 will arrive in June, while it was expected to land much sooner than that.
