GPD electronics manufacturer from China came to crowdfunding service Indiegogo with a seven-inch miniature laptop Pocket GPD, which is less than a day collected the necessary sum to start commercial production. Netbook with dimensions of 180×106×18.5 mm and a weight of 0.48 kg, is available at $399, and first deliveries to customers promised in June this year.
GPD Pocket is equipped with all-metal housing, 7-inch touchscreen IPS display Full HD resolution (1920×1200 pixels) with protective glass Corning Gorilla glass 3, Quad-core Intel Atom X7-Z8700 with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz, 4 GB of RAM DDR3L and SSD 128 GB, wireless modules 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and USB 3.0, micro HDMI and 3.5 mm audio Jack. The battery capacity of 7000 mAh enough for 12 hours of battery life under moderate load. The operating system can choose Windows 10 Home or Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. QWERTY module is made in the format of a keyboard without the numeric keypad and the touchpad, instead of employing spherical joystick red.
